Prayer Before Confession

O Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and my Mother, behold me, a wretched sinner, who has recourse to thee. O Mother of Mercy, have pity on me. I hear it said by all that thou art the refuge of sinners. Be, then, my refuge and my hope.

I confess before God and before thee that I have committed many sins. Assist me to make a good confession. I place my salvation into thy hands. Help me to amend my life, and to gain the pardon of my past sins, that so at last I may come to possess my Jesus in heaven, where together with thee I may love Him and enjoy Him forever. Amen.
